About Vidlune

Who makes Vidlune, what it is for and how it treats your videos.

Vidlune is a practice tool for people who learn movement from video: dancers, swimmers, tennis players, gymnasts, martial artists, musicians and their teachers and coaches.

It started from a simple frustration. Learning from a video usually means dragging a thumb back and forth across a timeline, trying to find the same two seconds again and again, at a speed that is too fast to follow. Vidlune puts the tools for that kind of practice in one place.

What it does

You open any video from your phone or computer. You can slow it down to a tenth of its speed while the music keeps its pitch, loop the part you are working on, mirror the picture so a teacher facing you moves the same way you do, step through it frame by frame, mark important moments, measure lines and angles, and put your own video next to the original or over it. A delayed mirror lets you see yourself on camera a few seconds later. When you want to keep a part, you can save it as a short clip.

How your videos are handled

Videos play on your own device while you practise. They are not uploaded. A video is only sent to our server if you choose to save a clip, and those files are deleted automatically within an hour. The delayed mirror keeps the camera picture only in memory and records nothing. More details are in our privacy policy.

Who makes it

Vidlune is made by an independent developer based in Türkiye. It is available on the web, on the App Store and on Google Play. The core practice tools are free; an optional Pro subscription removes ads and the watermark and raises a few limits.
